Monday cool

Another new day of the week to contend with, I decide to make it a different start this time round. I met up with Alf for lunch and some fish hunting in the noon. Having visited a few locations, we still didn’t manage to find what we want. Going home by 3pm seems like a sin, so we came upon the idea of visiting the Botanic Garden. Having reached there, we realized it was a great idea. Went to the food court for some coffee and toast to start. I started to have naughty ideas of telling my bros where I’m. Sent a few pictures of me lazing in the nice tranquil site to a few of my bros who are busy working in the office. It’s a pity I didn’t bring my camera along, so I have to work with my mobile’s built-in camera. The sight was awesome, with colorful flowers in bloom, swans swimming in the pond and terrapins basking under the afternoon sun. As we walk the scent of the plants tingle our nose and the chirpings of birds serenades our mind. It was a wonderful way to relax the mind. I am glad the weather was great today. The sun and the sights have certainly made me feel much better.

Watery Affair

Have not recovered fully when I went out this evening. Glad I make it down though. The performance was very entertaining and intriguing. The event is part of the celebration to commemorate the re-opening of the National Museum Singapore. The Avanti Display performing the Hydromania came from UK. It was a very interesting display of water and pyrotechnics, coupled up with great music in the background. The artiste playing the main role is named the “spurting man”. He dons a white spandex costume with a strategically placed orange, it was so comical and hilarious. The museum building was set up as a backdrop for the stage. A magnificent background it was, with water spurting off the ledges and roof and pyrotechnics going off at a rythme.
Can hardly wait to see the other events scheduled in the later weekends of the months. Looking forward to see Kurt Wenner in action soon. He is American artist known for his anamorphic, “3D”, street paintings. It is great to have an innovative and well-known artiste performing in town. Now i just hope my fever will subside by morning

Notre-Dame de Paris

A beautiful musical it was and great company i had on saturday night, 18th Nov. Had an invitation card to the French Musical Notre-Dame de Paris at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. It have been a while since i last watched a musical. The show was fabulous with great visuals and music. The dancers are awesome in their expressions.

The show is faithful to the story by Victor Hugo, an extraordinary rondo of 3 men and a beautiful gypsy girl. The story was sketched with the passion and impact depicted in the novel. Particularly like the characters Coplin and Quasimodo, well acted by Roddy Julienne and Matt Laurent respectively. Not forgetting Chiara di Bari who played Fleur-de-Lys, she has a great voice.
I had the pleasure of having E.Sin and SS to enjoy the show with me, making it one of the best musical i had attended.

Monday nite

last minute outing.. went for a movie at Vivocity with the guys again. Caught the movie "DOA", a no-brainer show, perfect for beating the monday blues. Overall i would its not too bad a show, but hollywood should still stay away from kungfu theme. The martial arts and stunts choreography definitely lose out to those from Hong Kong. The story reeks of hollywood magic and lacks the oriental charm. Too much emphasis on the girls in the show. Anyway, I always enjoy myself when I'm with the gang. Full of jokes and antics for every event. Just let Sniffy and Snuffy out of the tank. They are having lots of fun running round the table. Thankfully, as they originated from the deserts of Mongolia, these little fellows leave little waste and pee. Really glad i adopted these fellows.

Sniffy Snuffy

The two additions to my family. They arrived on the 4th of November to my humble dwellings. Sniffy and Snuffy, two very adorable gerbils whom i have just adopted. Thy are 3 months old Argente gerbils. The two boys are extremely active and entertaining. Hopefully they can get along well with my Kobe, my 16 month old guinea pig. Though i housed them separately, i hoping one day, i can i let them play together and explore each others. will be fun. Gonna get picture of the boys and upload here soon.. chills

Busy while slacking

A new month had began, and i still ain't exactly holding a job. But then again, my schedule still pretty packed. Went Batam in a whim. Spent a few days there. Thankfully i went in a rush. I was dressed in rags. Almost in rags. Singlets and shorts and a torn pair of jeans. Basically i can pass off as the locals easily. Had even managed to stroll the streets at night without the locals battling an eyelid. Now that's a feat that not even the local chinese would like to attempt.
Now I'm planning another attempt to endanger my life again. Since i will be changing my wheels again, i'm planning to trash my skates on Mt Faber. Hopefully i don't end up in more than 2 pieces.
Chill for now
